Another Breast Cancer Awareness Throw by Angie!

Share

Breast Cancer Awareness Month continues with another beautiful throw by Angie Pitts. This one is similar to the previous one she did but with the addition of pink squares set on point in the center and corner blocks. Our soft Hobbs Heirloom batting fills the inside and I quilted it with the Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbon and did the binding for her. A beautiful throw for a most important cause Angie!

Angie Pitts made this beautiful throw as a special gift for a woman fighting breast cancer. The design in blue-green and white and colors showcase the pink quilted Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbons. It is bordered with a complimenting pink print and backed with a pink floral print from our shop which I also used to make the binding. I was glad to quilt and bind this special throw, Angie.

Nancy’s Fall Throw!

Share

Nancy Davis made this pretty Fall Throw from fabric she had left over from other quilt projects. It’s just right to keep on the sofa or a favorite easy chair for when the air turns a bit cool! The fall colors compliment the leaves in the center panel perfectly. Our cozy Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 batting is inside and I quilted it in Autumn Leaves for her. This is a lovely thrown Nancy! 🙂

“George” by Iris Melvin

Share

My sister, Iris made this Patriotic Truck Quilt featuring “George,” a ’49 Chevrolet pickup built by her late husband, George Melvin. She named the truck after him and still has it! George is the quintessential Red Truck.
She framed the center panel in yellow and used red, white and blue prints in all of the Red Truck blocks. The daisy border frames it with a soft country touch. I quilted it for it for her in a Patriotic Pickup Truck design. It’s perfectly George! 🙂

Freida’s Eagle Throw!

Share

Freida Ritter made this awesome patriotic Eagle Throw! The center panel depicts the bald eagle, our symbol of freedom flying above the Liberty Bell and both the original and current flags of the United States of America. It’s framed with red, white and blue prints anchored by superimposed 8 pointed stars in the corners. Hobbs Heirloom batting is inside and I quilted it in “Stars & Loops” for her using variegated red, white and blue thread. Freida made this one for herself and it is a beautiful sight to behold! 🙂
