Patti’s Blue & White Ohio Star Quilt!

Share

Patti Spooner pieced this Ohio Star quilt in blue and white for a grandson. With the blue border framing it this quilt is traditional but striking. Our soft Hobbs Heirloom batting was used inside, and it is backed with Quilters Blenders Sapphire Blue backing form our shop. I quilted it in “Pipeline” for her. A very nice quilt and a lucky grandson, Patti! 🙂

Marcia’s Sunshine Throw!

Share

Marcia George made this Sunshine Throw for someone special! It features a cute sunflower panel that tells all the world “You Are My Sunshine.” She framed it with gingham and itsy bitsy polka dots, then added a complimenting yellow tone on tone floral and sunflower border. I used our soft Hobbs Heirloom batting inside and quilted it in “Ribbon Hearts” for her with lime green thread. Very Cheery Marcia! 🙂

Pockets Wall Hanging for Lois

Share

I made this wall hanging for Lois Duncan from her late husband, Spencer Duncan’s shirts. It was the perfect way to save them so she and their daughters and grandchildren could see and enjoy them, remembering his love for his family. Mr. Duncan was a farmer and cattleman in Whigham, GA known for his award winning purebred Angus cattle. Inside I used our stable Hobbs Heirloom batting and backed it with Tilt-A-Whirl Natural quilt backing from our shop. I quilted it in lines along the rows and around the pockets. A tribute to a wonderful man for his wife and family. 🙂

Abigail’s Blue & Gold Quilt

Abigail Taunton made this charming Blue & Gold quilt! A variety of prints in these colors are used, many with stars in them. The design and the choice of colors combine for an elegant effect. Our soft & stable Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 batting is used inside the quilt. I quilted it in stars using gold thread for her. Abigail, you created a handsome quilt! 🙂

Jeanne’s Flower Throw!

Share

This beautiful throw featuring a watercolor rendition of colorful flowers in glass bottles is by Jeanne Brown! She framed the central panel with concentric borders of floral prints alternating with a variegated green. Inside we used our soft Hobbs Heirloom batting and since it’s pretty flowers I quilted it in Hummingbirds for her! A gorgeous throw, Jeanne! 🙂
