July 12th 2-4 pm and July 14th 11 am – 1 pm eastern
Skill Level: Intermediate
Instructors: Lynda Britt, Gerald Danford
In this class we will learn how to make the Honeymoon Quilt Block. This is a fun star block to sew together and easier than you might think… Bring your sewing machine and let’s have some fun! You do need to register in advance which you can do in person at Lady Bird Quilts & Fabric on Saturday, by giving us a call at 850-580-1056 or sending us a message. The class fee is $25 (payable at the class) which covers all materials for the class. Fabric will be for sale after the class.
If you’ve never been to our friendly Quilt & Fabric shop before, we are located at 2029 Bristol Highway, Quincy, FL. From I-10 take the Greensboro exit (174) and go south 3 miles on State Rd 12 to the center of Greensboro where you will turn left at the traffic light continuing south on State Road 12 for 2 miles. We are located on the left. Look for a fence with a row of American Flags on your left (if you are going south). We are the first driveway on the left past the flags. Just look for the building with the “Fabric & Quilts” sign. See you there! 🙂
Patti Spooner pieced this gorgeous Strip It Three Ways Prism Quilt! The cool colors and pretty prints she chose, soothe the senses! A concentric border of black, aqua, and purple add contrast and depth. All in all, this quilt is kaleidoscope of color! Inside we used our premium Hobbs Heirloom batting and Emerald Quilters Blenders quilt backing from our shop is on the back. I quilted it for her in “Pipeline” and did the binding. Just beautiful, Patti! 🙂

Janice Kirkland pieced this cheerful quilt with Pinwheel Blocks bright colors and pastels! The color palette she chose for the complimenting border lends a light, Caribbean feel to the quilt. The back is our Quilters Blenders Yellow quilt backing and soft Hobbs Heirloom batting fills out the inside. I quilted it in Butterflies with turquoise thread for her. I did the binding also. Janice, this bright, happy quit is sure to bring light into any room! 🙂
Gail Hoxworth made this sparkling Starz Quilt featuring twinkling stars and diamonds from colorful prints sashed with white in a lattice pattern. The stars accent the diamonds in a cheerful abstract pattern. It’s backed with our Light Purple Flowers 108” quilt backing with Hobbes Heirloom batting inside. I quilted the sashing ¼” from each edge. Twinkle, twinkle little star! ✨
Ann Owens pieced this beautiful king size Lush Quilt! The pattern is by Wing and a Prayer Design. The wonderful batiks come together in this pattern to produce a fascinating kaleidoscope of designs and colors! The symmetry of this quit is amazing. The quilt is backed with our delft blue Quilters Blenders backing while Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 batting from our shop completes the quilt sandwich. I quilted it and did the binding for her. This is a sensational quilt, Ann! 🙂
Debra Fields-Walker made this powerful, primal Dinosaur Quilt for her son who just loves dinosaurs! The picture panels depict many different species and surround the central panel that shows a dinosaur giving you the eye… 😉
I quilted it in Stegosaurus (lots of them!) for her. This is one cute quilt Debra!
