Donna Briesarker made this wonderfully patriotic Veteran Quilt featuring the flag of the United States with the bald eagle, our symbol of strength, courage and freedom. Patriotic prints in red, white and blue round out the quilt. I quilted it in “Star Spangled” for her using variegated red, white and blue thread. This is a beautiful quilt, Donna! 🙂
Mr. Alton Snellgrove asked me to make a quilt for his granddaughter out of her softball T-shirts and jerseys and I was happy to be able to. Amberlea has had quite a distinguished softball career already as her T-shirts attest! I bordered the shirts with red and blue, sashed the blocks with our white tone on tone stars print, framed it in concentric strips of red and blue then made the binding from the same white stars print. The batting inside is premium Hobbs Heirloom and the quilt is backed with Quilters Blenders Poinsettia Red 108” quilt backing from our shop. I quilted it in Bats, Balls, Gloves & Helmets using lime green thread.
Congratulations, Amberlea on your athletic achievements, I hope this quilt preserves and showcases your softball career to date throughout the years to come. 🙂
Angela Rowan made this stunning quilt with alternating squares of contrasting Black and White prints with the rows separated squares of bright yellow. It’s an eye catcher! Inside it’s filled with soft, stable Hobbs Heirloom batting from our shop and I quilted it in “Double Bubbles” for her. This quilt is a winner for sure, Angela! 🙂
I made this Bird Quilt with these beautiful songbirds that I cut from a small quantity of this fabric that we got in for stock. It sold out quickly! I framed the larger squares in black to make them pop and set them in on point a field of our Tone on Tone White Wildflowers material. It’s bordered with concentric strips of red, gold and blue prints to compliment the colors of the birds. I backed it with Tonal Vineyard Mint Green quilt backing from our shop and made the binding from the same red print used for the inner border. I quilted it in “Birds In a Bath” with red thread! 🙂
I made this Red, White and Blue quilt for Tim McDonald as a tribute to his military service. I quilted it in the “Star Spangled” design with navy blue thread. It is backed and bound with our Poinsettia Red Quilters Blenders quilt backing and filled with soft Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 batting. Thank you for your service!
I made this quilt featuring 3 ducks swimming on a pond in the center. The ducks were given to me and I thought they really needed to be swimming so I appliquéd them on a pond of our Light Blue Marblecious fabric. The pond is surrounded by squares of a green print for vegetation, brown for the earth (& cattails), a blue water print with white and yellow blenders to tie it all together. It is backed and bound with our Softie Lime Green 108” Quilt Backing and I quilted it in Cattails & Lily Pads with green thread. It made the perfect housewarming gift for my nephew and his wife who bought a lakeside home! 🙂
