I made this Minecraft quilt as Christmas present for my grandson, Lance Harmon. He loves building things in Minecraft and he needed a bigger quilt so I decided to make him a Minecraft quilt! I saw a picture of one that someone had done a beautiful job with and designed this one from that photo. It features a lot of things from Minecraft set in a field of black. I made the blocks and the title, “Minecraft” from 1 1/2” squares (1” finished size). It is backed and bound it in a Green Quilters Blenders backing print that we stock. Inside I filled it with our soft Hobbs Heirloom batting and I quilted it in “Diamonds” for him with green variegated thread. I machine embroidered the label using the same thread. He was all smiles when he unwrapped this gift at my house! 🙂
Debbie Shepard made this beautiful throw with stars made of Christmas prints and colors. The star blocks alternate with squares of our Tone on Tone White Cracked Ice print. A beautiful Holiday themed border featuring owls dressed in the colors of Christmas frame the quilt. Inside we used our soft, snug Hobbs Heirloom batting and it’s backed with Marblecious Hunter Green quilt backing from our shop. I quilted it in Bells and Candy canes with red thread for her. A beautiful and Very Merry throw you made, Debbie! 🙂
Patsy Willis made this wonderful Christmas Present Quilt! It features a collection of delightful gift wrapped packages all ready for Christmas! The presents are framed with a green holly print anchored in the corners by squares of red and gold. Our soft Hobbs Heirloom batting is inside and I quilted it in Christmas trees for her. A beautiful Christmas quilt Patsy! 🙂
Susan Wilson made this striking equine themed quilt! She pieced pinwheel blocks of a horse print with a complimenting solid. For the alternating blocks she embroidered horseshoes on squares of fabric featuring a horseshoe print. She framed these with a rich dark brown solid for complimenting contrast then bordered it with a multicolored stripe print with the stripes running against the quilt for a similar effect to piano keys without actually having to sew piano keys together. Very nice! I filled it with our soft, stable Hobbs Heirloom batting and quilted it in a Wild Horses design using gold thread on top and light brown on the bottom. It’s backed with Tilt-A-Whirl Natural 108” quilt backing from our shop. A unique quilt!
Ann Owens made this terrific Sampler Quilt. It features a nice collection of beautiful and traditional quilt blocks. They’re made in a variety of colors and prints that contribute to the overall sampler look. At Ann’s request I quilted it in a loose meander to ensure it being an extra soft quilt. You’ve made another beautiful quilt, Ann! 🙂
Laverne McKenzie made this wonderful quilt featuring alternating flower blocks interspersed with green pinwheels. She framed it with a border of the same green print used in the pinwheels. It’s backed with Quilter’s Blenders Brick Red quilt backing from our shop. I quilted it for her in “Flights of Fancy” with turquoise thread. Great job, Laverne! 🙂
