Abigail Taunton made this charming Blue & Gold quilt! A variety of prints in these colors are used, many with stars in them. The design and the choice of colors combine for an elegant effect. Our soft & stable Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 batting is used inside the quilt. I quilted it in stars using gold thread for her. Abigail, you created a handsome quilt! 🙂
Shirley Clark made this delightful throw featuring colors of Christmas from 2 ½” strips sewed into big blocks. Even though these are not traditional Christmas prints, the colors and certainly make one think of Christmas time! The batting used inside the quilt is soft Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 and it’s backed with Tonal Vineyard Hunter Green quilt backing from our shop. I quilted it in “Curly Swirly” for her using lime green thread. Charming and colorful, Shirley! 🙂
Irene Bennett made this beautiful Christmas throw featuring individual squares that frame different cardinals with a background of holly. The red and green solid frames alternate both vertically and horizontally for a nice Christmas effect. A double border of red and green tie it all together. I quilted it in “Fancy 3” for her with gold thread. It’s sized so that it can be used for a wall hanging as well as a throw or lap quilt, very nice! 🙂
Sue’s Fall Dresden Plate & Appliqué Quilt!
Sue Coe made this Fabulous Fall Dresden Plate Quilt featuring appliqué harvest accents. The colors of autumn abound in this variation of the classic Dresden plate pattern. Double borders of a leaf print set in squares of complimenting colors and a marbled green showcase the design. I quilted it for her in Acorns & Leaves. It is a beautiful quilt, Sue! 🙂
Patti Spooner pieced this incredible Gypsy Wife quilt from her odds and ends! The lovely pattern is nicely framed by a bold border of red which ties into the bits of red used throughout the blocks and strips. The batting inside is our soft & stable Hobbs Heirloom while the backing is a gray tonal batik from our shop. I quilted it for her in Keryn Emmerson’s “Rambling Hearts.” I did the binding with the same material it’s backed with. This is a delightful quilt, Patti! 🙂
Breast Cancer Awareness Month continues with another beautiful throw by Angie Pitts. This one is similar to the previous one she did but with the addition of pink squares set on point in the center and corner blocks. Our soft Hobbs Heirloom batting fills the inside and I quilted it with the Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbon and did the binding for her. A beautiful throw for a most important cause Angie!
