Ann Owens made this spectacular Christmas Throw featuring appliqué Christmas Trees, Reindeer, Little Red Truck, Stars, Snowflakes, Holly and more! Our soft Hobbs Heirloom batting is inside the quilt sandwich and it’s backed with Tea Dye Quilters Blenders backing from our shop. I quilted it in a loose stipple for her. You do some amazing appliqué, Ann! 🙂
Freida Ritter made this adorable Chicken quilt! It features cute chickens made from a variety of colorful prints appliquéd on a black and white chicken wire print that looks just like poultry mesh. It’s even sashed with strips of a print featuring chicken tracks! A band of white polka dots and red in the border completes the look. Naturally, I quilted it for her in a chicken wire design. The perfect chicken quilt, Freida! 🙂
Vickie Porter pieced this bold & beautiful King size Batik Strip Quilt featuring an appliqué “M” set in browns in the middle with wider batik strips above and below. If I remember correctly, she made it for her son, Matt.
I quilted it in “Curly Swirly” using gold thread and did the binding for her. This quilt is a veritable explosion of color, Vickie! 🙂
Sue Coe made this wonderful quilt featuring beautiful butterflies made from handkerchiefs which she folded and pressed in the shape of a butterfly then appliquéd on the squares. The blocks are sashed with a petite lavender floral material which she bordered with concentric strips of a green butterfly print surrounded by a purple tonal floral print. Of course, I quilted it for her in butterflies with purple thread! You created a very pretty quilt Sue! 🙂
Janice Kirkland pieced this cute king sized star quilt with all the stars points made from polka dot prints! I quilted it in dragon flies for her with hot pink thread. Inside, the quilt sandwich is filled with our soft & stable Hobbs Heirloom batting. I also did the binding for her. A pretty quilt Janice! 🙂
Inspirational Appliqué Quilt!
Ann Owens made this amazing quilt for a very special lady! It’s filled with inspirational bits of wisdom about life that Ann lovingly appliquéd on a wide variety of pretty fabric colors and prints. Many other elements of the design are appliquéd as well. The quilt contains a number of traditional quilt blocks as well. The entire design comes together to convey a beautiful message about love and life! It’s filled with soft Hobbs Heirloom batting from our shop and backed with our Overtone Gray on White Willowy Flowers Quilt Backing. I meander quilted it for her (a large stipple) at her request. A very special quilt, Ann! 🙂
Ann Owens made this incredible, vivid throw using the new Steam-A-Seam 2 fusible appliqué technique. She used a virtual rainbow of complimenting prints highlighted by the floral appliqués that are literally jumping out of their squares! I stipple quilted it in black for her. This throw is beautiful, Ann! 🙂
