I made this U.S. Army table runner for my son, Gerald Danford who served in the Army. Since next Monday, June 14th it the 246th birthday of the U.S. Army (as well as being Flag Day) I thought I would share pictures of this piece. The Army fabric used for the panels is a print licensed by the U.S. Army which we stock. It is surrounded with the Army colors of black and gold as well as green for all the years the Army wore green. It is backed and bound with a patriotic print featuring Old Glory. I quilted it in stars. Thanks to all who served in the U.S. Army, past and present for the freedom we enjoy today!
We hope you’ve had a wonderful Christmas Day and in that spirit we would like to share a few of the beautiful Christmas table runners and place mats that Sue Coe has made over the last couple years. She’s actually made many more! 🙂
She is a special friend and it’s always a pleasure to quilt for her.
May the remainder of your Holidays be filled with Joy & the spirit of Christmas and your New Year filled with Hope. From all of us in the Lady Bird Quilts family including our wonderful customers to all of you, Merry Christmas!
Joy Lister made this gorgeous Disappearing Nine Patch Quilt and matching Table Runner in the warm golden colors of autumn. The pattern is framed by alternating borders of white and complimenting prints. Our warm Hobbs Heirloom batting is inside and both pieces are backed with 108” Tonal Vineyard Gold quilt backing from our shop. I quilted both in “Pipeline” for her in gold thread and made the binding of the quilt using the same print used to back it. Nice work, Joy! 🙂
My aunt, Ruth Barber made this fantastic Florida State Seminole table runner for her niece, Phyllis Pearce and her husband John. It’s got it all to set the perfect table on game day! FSU licensed fabric (available in our shop), football themed prints and the Garnet & Gold. I quilted it for her with Footballs & Loops. Show that team spirit! 🙂
