Our 108″ wide quilt backing is premium cotton quilting fabric — the same quality as anything else on our shelves — just cut extra wide so you can back a queen or king without piecing panels together. A linear yard of 108″ backing is 36″ x 108″, which is more than double the fabric you get in a linear yard of standard 44″ quilting cotton. At $12.50 a yard, that’s a whole lot of fabric for the money, and it comes in a wide variety of colorful prints and tonal blenders — not just plain muslin. And backing doesn’t have to just be backing: it’s regular cotton quilting fabric, so it works beautifully for big-project piecing, garment linings, tablecloths, curtains, or anything else that calls for extra-wide yardage.
