Kristi Noland asked me to make a big quilt for her dad, a retired Arkansas Highway Police Officer from his uniform shirts, pants, t-shirts, jackets and cap. So, I did! It is just a bit longer than a California King. The colors reflect the colors of the Arkansas Highway Police and I incorporated patches and shirts from many years of his career into his quilt. It has our Hobbs Heirloom batting inside and Quilters Blenders Dark Gray on Black from our shop for backing. I quilted it in “Twine” for her using light gray thread, then did the binding. A wonderful gift and way to remember your dad’s law enforcement career, Kristi! 🙂
Patti Spooner pieced this bright quilt from a number of different batiks set against white and bordered with a beautiful blue blender print. We have many of these batiks in stock right now! Inside we used our soft Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 batting, the backing is our Green Branches 108” quilt backing and I quilted it for her in “Pipeline B” using blue thread. The binding I made from one of the same batiks used in the quilt. You pieced a beautiful, cheerful quilt Patti! 🙂
This king sized memory quilt was made by Patti Spooner out of shirts and patches from her husband, Ed Spooner’s career in Law Enforcement. It is backed with our Black Tilt A Whirl quilt backing and the batting is our Hobbs Heirloom 80/20. I quilted it in the Twine design. I understand it is a present for a very lucky daughter!
