Angela Rowan made this vivid quilt of Black & Green in a lattice pattern. The two green prints with the solid black create a bold contrast that’s sure to make you look! The quilt is backed in our 108” Green Branches quilt backing. I quilted it for her in “Curly Swirly” using black thread. Awesome quilt, Angela! 🙂
Beth Trotman pieced this fantastic Geometric quilt from red and light green prints. It is a great pattern, and the variety of prints makes it even more interesting! Our comfortable Hobbs Heirloom batting is inside, and the quilt is backed with Quilters Blenders Poinsettia Red 108” quilt backing which is also from our shop. I quilted it in “Pipeline” for her and did the binding with the same material that it’s backed with. You pieced a beautiful quilt, Beth! 🙂
Sue Coe made this magnificent Underground Railroad sampler quilt featuring quilt blocks used in quilts as signs for escaped slaves along the Underground Railroad. According to legend, a safe house along the Underground Railroad was often indicated by a quilt hanging from a clothesline, fence or windowsill. The blocks formed a type of code, communicating useful information. Along the edges the meaning of each block is embroidered in brown thread. The green print used in the sashing and gold print used for the legend tie these historic blocks together beautifully. I stipple quilted it for her using ecru thread to reproduce the look of the quilting found in many of these original quilts. A beautiful and compelling way to preserve this history and keep it alive.

Diana Epple made this wonderful Christmas Tree Quilt. The tree is made from a variety of green Christmas prints topped by an angel in gold complete with a halo! The backdrop making up the balance of the tree is a white tone on tone stars print. Warm Hobbs Heirloom batting is used inside and the quilt is backed with our 108” Tonal Vineyard Hunter Green quilt backing. I quilted it in “Snow Wind” for her. Diana, you made a beautiful quilt for the Holidays! 🙂
I made this Minecraft quilt as Christmas present for my grandson, Lance Harmon. He loves building things in Minecraft and he needed a bigger quilt so I decided to make him a Minecraft quilt! I saw a picture of one that someone had done a beautiful job with and designed this one from that photo. It features a lot of things from Minecraft set in a field of black. I made the blocks and the title, “Minecraft” from 1 1/2” squares (1” finished size). It is backed and bound it in a Green Quilters Blenders backing print that we stock. Inside I filled it with our soft Hobbs Heirloom batting and I quilted it in “Diamonds” for him with green variegated thread. I machine embroidered the label using the same thread. He was all smiles when he unwrapped this gift at my house! 🙂
Patsy Willis made this fishing themed throw from a set of vivid pillow panels framed with black and surrounded by a gorgeous green print that goes perfectly with the colors in the panels. Inside we used our soft Hobbs Heirloom batting and I quilted it for her in Large Curls. The cool green tones are soothing and beautiful! 🙂
