Tie Quilt – Robert Glyn Robertson

Beverly Pritchard asked me to make a quilt with her Daddy’s ties and shirts as a gift for her mom. I was happy to make it for her. In addition to the ties on the shirts it is bordered on two sides with tie “piano keys.” It is filled with our soft Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 batting and backed with one of our many Tonal Vineyard quilt backings. I quilted it in Diamonds. Tie quilts are a great way to save the ties and shirts of a loved one and preserve precious memories!
