Sue Coe made this bright, colorful quilt with many unique Star Block variations, each one is different! The Stars are set against a wonderful white tone on tone backdrop that has stars of its own, plus a lot more. I quilted it for her in “Twine” using Bahama Blue thread. I just love these stars, Sue! 🙂
Katherine Denmark made this exquisite Star & Interlocking Squares quilt that features prints in shades of brown, gray, and black that give it a wonderful sense of depth! We used our soft, stable Hobbs Heirloom batting inside and I quilted it in bicycles for her using black thread. Another great quilt Katherine! 🙂
Melanie Garcia pieced this cheerful Sixty Degree Star Quilt. The stars are made from several prints including blooms, foliage, flamingos and even watermelons! The white tone on tone backdrop and vivid green border proved great contract and keep things bright. The soft Hobbs Heirloom batting on the inside and the yellow backing both came from our shop. I quilted it for her in Watermelon Slices using hot pink thread, then did the binding with the same material used for the back. A lovely quilt, Melanie! 🙂
Abigail Taunton made this wonderful quilt for her grandson! It’s based on the Sawtooth Star quilt block with a coordinating frame separating the inner 3×4 field from the outer single row block border. Our soft Hobbs Heirloom batting is inside the quilt sandwich, and it is backed with a Navy Blue solid also from our shop. I quilted it in “Twine & Stars” for her using Rocket Blue thread. A handsome quilt, Abigail! 🙂
Terry Morris made this Patriotic Sampler with a variety of classic quilt blocks, including star and pinwheel variations. The colors and prints she used work together to make a great patriotic quilt!
We used our soft, stable Hobbs Heirloom batting inside and I quilted it in “Stars & Loops” for her with red thread. On this Memorial Day weekend, it seems fitting to share this beautiful project with you.
This is beautiful, Terry! 🙂
Jill Rigdon pieced this great Star & Interlocking Squares quilt in Red, White, and Blue! The central star and interlocked squares are set against a field of tone-on-tone stars in white. A red frame bracketed by blue stripes top, and bottom completes the effect. It is backed with a pretty Blue Blenders quilt backing from our shop. I quilted it in “Star Spangled” in red thread for her and made the binding from the same material that it’s backed with. A wonderfully patriotic quilt, Jill! 🙂
This is Judy Jones’ delightful version of the Binding Tool Star Quilt! She and her friend, Donna Briesacker each made this quilt but picked their own colors. I think it was a wonderful project and they both turned out great! I quilted it for her in “Curly Swirly” using dark teal thread. It’s simply beautiful, Judy! 🙂
