Lone Star Feed Sack Quilt!

A longtime friend of my sister’s gave her this hand pieced Lone Star quilt top and pieced back. Someone in her family made it I believe, probably many years ago but it had never been quilted. It has feed sack material in it but also a lot of other older cotton prints. Iris asked me to fix a few places in it and quilt it for her, which is exactly what I did. We used our soft Hobbs Heirloom batting inside and I stipple quilted it for a more vintage look. After she bound it she gave it to her son Tullis. Whoever pieced this by hand did some incredible work! 🙂
