Janet Bell made this quilt featuring beautiful appliqué butterflies surrounded by a pink floral print. She quilted the butterflies by hand then I quilted the blocks by stitching “in the ditch” and added swirls to the border. This is a wonderful quilt Janet!
Gwen Cook made this precious western themed quilt featuring a mare and her foal for her granddaughter, Mary Kate. The central square is surrounded by contrasting triangles of paisley prints. She also added some wonderful machine embroidery to personalize the quilt. It’s filled with our soft Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 quilt backing and I quilted it in horses using lime green thread. This is lovely Gwen!
This quilt by Denise Robinson is bursting with colors of Halloween and fall! It combines sixteen patch blocks with applique sunflowers and stars surrounded by a matching orange border against a black tonal vine print. The quilt is filled with our Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 batting for a soft feel. I quilted it in a scroll leaves design. This is a perfect quilt for the season!
I made this queen size quilt for my husband, Page who likes the pattern and wanted a “really warm” quilt for winter. It is the 3 “Dudes” pattern made from 2 ½” strips. I bordered it with piano keys, then backed and bound it with our Quilters Blenders Blue Atoll 108” quilt backing. It’s quilted in the Diamonds design. I used a medium high loft poly-fill batting and….. it’s really warm! So warm that he only wants to sleep under it on the coldest nights! Of course we don’t have too many of those in Florida but he loves looking at it anyway. 🙂
Stacey Strickland and his wife asked me to make a T-Shirt Quilt for their daughter, Lauren as a Christmas present. It includes her T-shirts along with some of her dad’s plus a handkerchief and doilies of her grandmother. I put it together with lime green fabric in solid and chevrons. Georgiana Hand did the machine embroidery. It is filled with our Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 Batting for just the right weight and feel. I backed it with our 108” Softie Lime Green Quilt Backing and quilted it in Square Spirals. A great tribute to Lauren’s many interests and her family!
This is a throw I made in the Disappearing Pinwheel pattern using Santee fabric we carry. It is made from Poinsettia Red Quilters Blenders, Tone on Tone White Circles and Ocean Blue Quilters Blenders. Our Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 batting is inside and I quilted it in the “Star Spangled” design. This throw is for sale in our shop for $300. The Disappearing Pinwheel is a fun block! 🙂
