This beautiful throw was made by Karen Gammon as a Mother’s Day present for her mom! The 5” squares in various shades of blue are stripped with cream fabric. This is surrounded by a gorgeous red and black leaf print by Cranston Print Works. The backing and binding is 108” Quilters Blenders Navy from Lady Bird Quilts. I quilted it in the Bird Bath pattern. Great work Karen! 🙂
This cute “Quilts for Kids” quilt was pieced and quilted by Lynda for Betty Daniels who purchased the kit. Quilts for Kids is a non-profit organization helping volunteer quilters transform fabric into patchwork quilts that comfort children in need. It is quilted in the Stars & Loops pattern.
How do you make a quilt for a man that loves two teams? Incorporate both of them into it of course! I made this quilt for Danny Danford who has always loved Alabama and later became a big fan of FSU. It features the Florida State University Seminole and the University of Alabama Big Al (elephant) mascots surrounded by collegiate fabric from each school. The quilt top also contains fabric with football and tailgating prints with the balance completed in the colors of each team. The back and the white in the top are our 108” wide Tone on Tone White Circles fabric. Hobbs 80/20 Heirloom batting was used and I stipple quilted it. Enjoy Danny!
This wonderful quilt was designed and pieced by Lynda Britt and Iris Melvin for Walt Childs. It incorporates previously cherished fabric of a Jewish print and is made with the colors of Israel in it. The back is Lady Bird Quilt’s Sapphire Blue 108” quilt backing. Lynda quilted it in the Star of David design. The quilt measures 90” x 93 “ in size. Enjoy, our friend!
