Jeanne Brown made this quilt for Joe, a man that helped them cut and move trees at their place after the hurricane. He likes to fish so…. Jeanne decided he needed a special quilt that reflected his love of fishing! It features a lovely panel with a peaceful lakefront scene surrounded by fish and ducks. At the top and bottom are two wonderful fishing themed signs. The quilt is bordered with a water print with even more fish that looks absolutely perfect around it. Then she pieced the back, which is as interesting as the top! Another panel with a true fisherman’s motto, surrounded by more water, fish and fishing philosophy. Then… she cut his name out of a deep blue blender print and sewed it in. The back is as pretty as the top! I quilted it for her in the “Gone Fishing” design. I love this one, Jeanne!
Patsy Willis made this fishing themed throw from a set of vivid pillow panels framed with black and surrounded by a gorgeous green print that goes perfectly with the colors in the panels. Inside we used our soft Hobbs Heirloom batting and I quilted it for her in Large Curls. The cool green tones are soothing and beautiful! 🙂
