Denise Pentecost made this wonderful Deer & Moose quilt in Brown and Pink. The blocks are completed with an assortment of natural, complimenting colors and prints. To continue the woodsy theme, I quilted it in “Bear-Moose-Pines” for her. It also has our soft & warm Hobbs Heirloom batting inside. It’s a natural treasure, Denise! 🙂
Fall weather is finally here now and it’s a perfect time for Minnie Shuler’s Deer Throw! The central panel is a winter scene with three beautiful deer on a snowy day. Above and below are rows of blocks with eight-point stars surrounded by a print that evokes autumn leaves, this in turn is bracketed by a traditional looking star print. Concentric borders of coordinating prints frame it all beautifully. It is backed with Marblecious Camel quilt backing from our shop and has our warm but not too heavy Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 batting inside. I quilted it for her in a loose stipple. A perfect throw to cuddle up under this time of year! 🙂
Betty George pieced this deer quilt a couple years ago for a gift. The autumn colors she chose compliment the deer prints and give the quilt a warm feeling. Inside I used our soft Hobbs Heirloom batting and it’s backed with Flowy Camel 108” quilt backing from our shop. I quilted it for her in “Leaves & Acorns” which seemed just perfect for it! I bound it in a dark green to go with a foliage color in the deer print. I think this quilt made someone a nice present! 🙂
Brenda Jowers made this festive Christmas themed throw featuring a beautiful buck and doe surrounded by the colors of Christmas in various seasonal prints. It’s perfect for use as a lap quilt to stay warm on these chilly nights! It’s filled with our soft Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 batting and backed with flannel. I stipple quilted it for her. Very Merry and Cheerful Brenda! 🙂
