Beverly Cox brought me this to quilt… An amazing bigger than King Size T-shirt quilt that she and members of her family made for someone they love very much! The quilt top is made from lots of Briana’s T-shirts she’s collected over her time in school. The quilt is framed with an FSU patch print […]
Lone Star Feed Sack Quilt!
A longtime friend of my sister’s gave her this hand pieced Lone Star quilt top and pieced back. Someone in her family made it I believe, probably many years ago but it had never been quilted. It has feed sack material in it but also a lot of other older cotton prints. Iris asked me […]
Coca-Cola Throw!
Sue Coe made this charming Coca-Cola Throw from a panel and fabric out of our shop. The Coke Country Store Panel is surrounded by green for contrast (& Christmas) and accented by additional Coca-Cola prints. I quilted it for her in a Soda-n-Caps design. Very pretty Sue! 🙂
Heirloom Six Pointed Star Quilt
This quilt top was pieced by Phyllis Pierce’s grandmother many years ago. It had never been quilted so she asked me to make it a bit bigger for a queen size bed then quilt and bind it for her. I bordered it in red and black to showcase the work and colors in the quilt […]
Blast Off Throw!
Jeanne Brown made this cute and inspiring outer space themed strip throw for her grandson! Inside we used our soft Hobbs Heirloom batting and it’s backed with our Gray Dawn quilt backing. I quilted it in the “Blastoff” design using gold thread. Out of this world Jeanne!
Georgia No Sash T-Shirt Quilt!
Judy Neel made this queen size T-shirt quilt. She put it together without sashing and made it work! Though I like to do sashed T-Shirt quilts this is a technique which does enable you to get the most shirts into a quilt of a specific size. The quilt is filled with our soft, stable Hobbs […]
Mr. & Mrs. Claus!
I finally got a chance to finish something I started a couple years ago, a Santa and Mrs. Claus quilt (or large throw). They look real and fill the room with the spirit of Christmas! I quilted around them and added snowflakes of two different designs. Have a wonderful and Merry Christmas everyone! 🙂
