Diana’s Starry Sea of Serenity Quilt!

We are thrilled to feature this stunning quilt by Diana Knight that graced our shop! This beautiful piece combines classic design elements with a fresh, calming color palette, making it a perfect addition to any home. This quilt features a delightful interplay of crisp white and a serene teal, creating a sense of tranquility and elegance. The design incorporates two distinct block patterns: a beautiful teal star block that truly shines, and charming nine-patch blocks crafted from the same inviting teal and various white-on-white patterned fabrics. The subtle patterns in the white fabric add a lovely layer of texture and interest, preventing the white from feeling flat. What truly brings this quilt to life is the thoughtful arrangement of these blocks. They are set together in a way that creates a sense of movement and depth, with the teal stars appearing to float amongst the smaller, checkered blocks. The overall effect is both harmonious and captivating.

I quilted it for her with Bahama Green thread. The lines flow beautifully across the surface, providing a lovely contrast to the geometric piecing and adding a soft, inviting texture that just begs to be touched. The backing is from our shop as is the plush Hobbs Heirloom batting inside. This quilt would be a stunning focal point in a bedroom, draped over a sofa for a cozy touch, or even hung as a piece of textile art. The refreshing colors and timeless design make it incredibly versatile! 😊
