JoAnne’s Stars & Stripes Strip Throw!

JoAnne Scafidi made this stunning Stars and Stripes throw that just radiates American spirit! Far from a traditional flag, this piece is a beautiful example of how creativity and craftsmanship can transform a familiar symbol into something truly unique and heartfelt.

The throw features a vibrant patchwork design, with an artful arrangement of vertical strips in various shades of red, white, and blue. Each strip boasts its own distinct pattern – from subtle plaids and delicate florals to intricate swirls and geometric prints – adding depth and visual interest to the overall composition. It’s like a collection of stories told through fabric! Prominently placed across the lower right section are the bold white letters “USA,” standing out against the rich red and blue backdrop. We used our soft, stable Hobbs Heirloom batting inside and I meander quilted it for her in white thread.
