Irene’s Redbird Christmas Throw!

Irene Bennett made this beautiful Christmas throw featuring individual squares that frame different cardinals with a background of holly. The red and green solid frames alternate both vertically and horizontally for a nice Christmas effect. A double border of red and green tie it all together. I quilted it in “Fancy 3” for her with gold thread. It’s sized so that it can be used for a wall hanging as well as a throw or lap quilt, very nice! 🙂
