Marathon T-Shirt Quilt

James Fisher asked us to make a quilt and a couple of throws from the t-shirts he has collected from running marathons in all 50 states. My son Gerald Danford pieced the top for this twin size quilt. The t-shirts are stabilized and sewn together in a field of Wisconsin Badgers Red which is also used for the back. Our soft not too hot, not too cool Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 batting is inside and I quilted it in “Curly Arcs” with black thread. I also made the binding in black. A perfect quilt to commemorate an amazing achievement!
