Joleata’s Flannel Star Quilt!

Joleata Hand’s mother pieced this star and sewed it by hand. After she passed away it went to Joleata and she asked me to finish it. I filled in around the star with a light blue abstract print that highlights her mom’s beautiful work. It has soft Hobbs Heirloom batting inside and is backed with Quilters Blenders Poinsettia Red backing from our shop. I quilted in in “Star Spangled” for her and made the binding from the same material used for the back. A wonderful way to remember your mom’s love and talent! 🙂
