Sewing & Quilt Piecing Class on Tuesday, March 27th from 2 to 4 pm. Instructor: Lynda Britt. In this class we will learn how to make the Ribbon Quilt Block. The class fee is $25 (payable at the class) which covers all materials for the class. Bring your sewing machine and let’s have some fun! You do need to register in advance which you can do in person at Lady Bird Quilts & Fabric on Saturday, by giving us a call or sending us a message. Fabric will be for sale after the class.
If you’ve never been to our friendly Quilt & Fabric shop before, we are located at 2029 Bristol Highway, Quincy, FL. From I-10 take the Greensboro exit (174) and go south 3 miles on State Rd 12 to the center of Greensboro where you will turn left at the traffic light continuing south on State Road 12 for 2 miles. We are located on the left. Look for a fence with a row of American Flags on your left (if you are going south). We are the first driveway on the left past the flags. Just look for the building with the “Fabric & Quilts” sign. See you there! 🙂
Susan Coe put this amazing quilt together anchored by the large Star & Interlocking Squares block in the center. Very nice work, I love the contrast of the colors! I quilted it for her in “Flights of Fancy” with pink thread. This block was the subject of one of our recent classes.
Nina Stokes pieced this incredible quilt. The pattern is Trip Around the World and it’s made up of cheery floral prints bordered in beige and brown. I did the quilting and binding. It’s quilted in a diamonds design and the binding is made from the same material as the back. I used our soft, comfortable Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 batting inside. A beautiful job on this quilt Nina!
Clauden Jones pieced this lovely quilt featuring shades of turquoise and floral prints in an intriguing pattern. The quilt is bordered and backed with pastel pink roses with green leaves set on turquoise. I quilted it for her in a butterfly design with turquoise thread. She did a great job with this one!
Chris Rudd made this colorful picture book quilt for a special and deserving child. It’s made of pages from the fabric book alternating with squares of colorful Curls Swirls and Quilters Blenders prints. The quilt is backed with complimenting “chain” print and filled with our soft Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 batting. I quilted it in “Diamonds” with lime green thread and bound it in purple. Absolutely wonderful Chris!
I made this quilt featuring 3 ducks swimming on a pond in the center. The ducks were given to me and I thought they really needed to be swimming so I appliquéd them on a pond of our Light Blue Marblecious fabric. The pond is surrounded by squares of a green print for vegetation, brown for the earth (& cattails), a blue water print with white and yellow blenders to tie it all together. It is backed and bound with our Softie Lime Green 108” Quilt Backing and I quilted it in Cattails & Lily Pads with green thread. It made the perfect housewarming gift for my nephew and his wife who bought a lakeside home! 🙂
Betty George pieced this charming outdoorsy quilt featuring a print with canoes, bears, squirrels, fish and much more… Just the thing to snuggle up under on these cold winter nights! The traditional pattern is perfect for this quilt. Inside it is filled with our soft, not too light, not too heavy Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 batting. I quilted it in the “Autumn Leaves” design with gold thread and made the binding from the same material used for the back. Great job Betty!
