Patsy Willis made this fishing themed throw from a set of vivid pillow panels framed with black and surrounded by a gorgeous green print that goes perfectly with the colors in the panels. Inside we used our soft Hobbs Heirloom batting and I quilted it for her in Large Curls. The cool green tones are soothing and beautiful! 🙂
Patti Spooner made this delightful Chaos Quilt! The whimsical design is appliquéd on Navy Blue Quilters Blenders framed by a concentric border of multiple colors. Our soft Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 batting is used inside and the quilt is backed with Majestic Purple Quilters Blenders from our shop. I quilted it in a square spiral design and made the binding from the same material it’s backed with. You made a lovely quilt Patti! 🙂
My sister-in-law, Marilyn Maphis asked me to make a queen size quilt from these puffed Camellia prints which were given to her and my brother, Randolph by a dear friend of theirs. Randolph is a longtime member of the Tallahassee Camellia Society. The prints were individually layered with batting and sewn around to create the puffed effect. When I looked at them, the shape of each print seemed perfect for a diamond, so that’s how I designed the quilt. Each diamond is bordered in a hunter green blended print from our shop interspersed with triangles of pink, green and yellow. The hunter green & pink border frame and compliment the colors of the blooms. Our soft and stable Hobbs Heirloom batting is used inside the quilt sandwich. The same hunter green blended print was used for the backing and binding. I quilted around each flower and quilted additional blooms in the triangles and border. Hopefully the quilt does justice to these beautiful flowers!

Becky Barch made this adorable quilt from a Dinosaur Panel set in a brick wall of primary colors surrounded by a navy blue snakeskin print. It’s bright and interesting! Our soft, stable Hobbs Heirloom batting is inside. I quilted it in dinosaurs and made the binding from the same navy blue print used for the border. I also made two matching flanged pillow shams for her. This is a colorful quilt Becky! 🙂
My sister Iris and I made this School Bus Throw as a surprise gift for a dear friend and loyal customer, Melissa Gilley. She is a school bus driver who cares so much about “her” kids we thought she needed this! The school bus is pieced and sewn into a blue background with a brown print (for a dirt road!) under the wheels. We sewed in pieces from a couple of school themed prints and I quilted it in “Diamonds” then made the binding in yellow to match the bus. Melissa is just a sweetheart! 🙂
Debbie Shepard made this T-Shirt quilt for her daughter, Paige. It showcases and preserves her T-shirts she has collected over the years from school, barrel racing and as an EMT. In keeping with the spirit of western riding Debbie sewed the shirts into a field of Brown Tilt-A-Whirl fabric. Inside, it’s filled with our soft Hobbs Heirloom batting and is backed with the same fabric it’s sashed with. I quilted it in “Wild Horses” and did the binding for her. A special quilt for a special girl made by a very loving and talented mother! 🙂
