Patsy Willis made this great football quilt for her grandson and asked me to quilt it for her. The quilt features two college teams, Florida State and the University of Florida along with two pro teams the Tampa Bay Bucs and the New Orleans Saints. The footballs are sewed into the quilt top rather than being appliquéd on. It’s even backed with a fabric print that is all footballs too! It has our soft Hobbs Heirloom batting inside and I stipple quilted it so as not to take away from the incredible footballs she made for the top. First downs to touchdowns, Patsy did a wonderful job with this quilt! 🙂
Diane McCombs asked me to make this quilt as a Christmas present for her husband. It’s made from sweatshirts that the kids in his Sunday School class brought back from college and gave him over the years. The fabric used in the quilt including the White Tone on Tone Circles, Red Deck The Halls, Footballs, Black Dream Cotton and the Quilters Blenders Dark Green quilt backing is all from our shop. I quilted it in Footballs & Helmets. A great tribute!

I made this special quilt memory for Joslann’s first birthday at the request of her mother, Anna Martin and her grandmother Joanne Parish. It was made from her first year clothes, including her christening dress. The outfits are appliqued on. All of the fabric used in this quilt is all from our shop including the Quilters Blenders Light Pink quilt backing. It is quilted it in the Ribbon Hearts design, which I love!
How do you make a quilt for a man that loves two teams? Incorporate both of them into it of course! I made this quilt for Danny Danford who has always loved Alabama and later became a big fan of FSU. It features the Florida State University Seminole and the University of Alabama Big Al (elephant) mascots surrounded by collegiate fabric from each school. The quilt top also contains fabric with football and tailgating prints with the balance completed in the colors of each team. The back and the white in the top are our 108” wide Tone on Tone White Circles fabric. Hobbs 80/20 Heirloom batting was used and I stipple quilted it. Enjoy Danny!
