Gloria Freeman made this two-sided T-Shirt throw, it has Tees front and back so that it’s reversible! Reflecting the interests of the man she made it for, it even features a now very special Mexico Beach t-shirt… The throw is filled with our Hobbs Heirloom batting and I quilted it in the Star Spangled design. Great job Gloria! 🙂
Lady Bird Quilts is open today if you have the need for fabric or just want to get away. The shop survived almost untouched, just one piece of metal was ripped off the porch which we quickly replaced. We were blessed that our house was also similarly spared. A couple of our other structures were not so fortunate. So many of our family, friends and neighbors have lost so much to Hurricane Michael. We do not feel it’s appropriate to post our regular advertisement this week, we just wanted you to know that if you do want to visit we are open until 5 today and will happily open the shop anytime you come by and we are here. To help everyone out that may be rebuilding their fabric stash or just wants to shop for a little while and get away from what we’ve all just been through we have a big table loaded with beautiful cotton fabric for only $3 a yard, everything on the table. Come see us when you can and may God bless you and your families.
If you have a quilt top ready to be quilted, we’re open for that too. Just drop it off and we’ll take care of it for you.
We are open 10 am to 5 pm every Saturday. Lady Bird Quilts is located 2 miles south of Greensboro at 2029 Bristol Highway, Quincy, FL. Look for the big Fabric & Quilts sign on our shop! If you need anything during the week or can’t make it on Saturday just give us a call at 850-329-8276 and we will be glad to meet you at the shop. #fabric #quilting
My aunt, Ruth Barber made this charming quilt for her great-nephew, Tullis Tye. It’s done in a traditional design featuring half square triangles of complimenting colors and prints surrounding a diamond block in the center. The quilt is backed and bound with Green Tonal Medallion quilt backing from our shop while inside is our luxe Hobbs Heirloom batting. I quilted it in the “Birds In a Bath” design. A beautiful quilt and a wonderful gift! 🙂
The shelves are full at Lady Bird Quilts! So full we even have fabric that’s not on the shelf yet! We’ve received a lot of new fabric over the past two weeks so now is a great time to come see what we have. The Holidays will be here before you know it so stop by and stock up on our beautiful cotton fabric for those quilts and other sewing projects you’ve been planning. If you’re looking for an idea or inspiration, we can help with that too! 🙂

Jeanne Brown made this pretty throw that’s just loaded with colors! It incorporates several different styles of quilt blocks in just about every color of the rainbow. Inside it’s filled with soft Hobbs Heirloom batting to make it just the right weight to snuggle under in a favorite spot. I quilted it in “Eden” with teal green thread. Very colorful Jeanne! 🙂
