This adorable little quilt was made for Jennifer Grantham’s granddaughter. Jennifer made the top with lots of love and I appliquéd the hearts made from clothes that belonged to her MawMaw, Grandaddy and Aunt Jes on the back. I quilted it in the Ribbon Hearts design then made the binding out of our pink quatrefoil material to match the top.
Patsy Willis made this charming Christmas golf throw as a gift for her son-in-law who loves golf. The back is pieced together out of a matching golf print. Filled with our famous Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 quilt batting it’s sure to be soft and warm but not too bulky. I quilted it in the Hole in One design.
This unique family tree quilt was made by Sara Thompson as a gift for a family member. She pieced both the top and the back using a combination of quilting and appliqué techniques. The back features outlines of the children’ hands with their names. I used our premium Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 batting and quilted it in the Pipeline design. A beautiful quit that is sure to be treasured for generations!
Linda Neel asked my sister, Iris and I to make this cap quilt for her husband Bill as a Christmas present. She brought us all of the old caps he had saved from his years of farming and the wonderful Coca Cola printed fabric (Bill loves Coca Cola!). The remaining fabric including the corn and peanuts is from our shop. We appliquéd the cap with the Coca Cola patch. I quilted a tractor into four blocks and stipple quilted the balance. Linda did surprise Bill with his Christmas present this year! 🙂
I made this T-shirt quilt for Diane McCombs as a Christmas present for her son. It showcases his sports shirts surrounded by his school colors. The fabric is all from Lady Bird Quilts. It’s backed with our Black Tilt-A-Whirl 108” quilt backing and filled with Hobbs 80/20 Heirloom Batting for a nice wight and feel. Since he is mostly into basketball I quilted it in Basketballs & Loops then made the binding from a basketball print
Connie Melzer asked us to make this quilt as a gift for a special friend of theirs. She provided the panel and picked out the colors. Iris and I pieced the top and surrounded the ducks with split rail fence patchwork. All of the fabric except the panel is fabric we carry at Lady Bird Quilts. It is backed in Tilt A Whirl Brown and I quilted it in a loose stipple design.
