Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Quilt

Share

Mike Taylor asked us to make him a T-shirt quilt out of the motorcycle shirts he’s collected over his years of riding.  So we did!  He picked the colors (Harley!) and we went to work.  My sister, Iris and I pieced the top, then I quilted it with Flames and a Harley Sportster. All of the fabric is from our shop and it’s backed with our 108” wide Quilters Blenders Yellow Gold.  Mike has some really great tees and now they’re preserved so he can enjoy them on his bed.  We can do the same for you!  🙂

Growth Chart Baby Quilt

I made this baby quilt for Summer Duan and Thomas Hudson’s baby boy,  Tylor Ming Hudson.  The “Little Boys are made of…” panel is from our shop and features a chart to keep track as he grows!  It is framed on either side by more of our cotton fabric in the split rail fence pattern.  I quilted in a whimsical Kites design.  It’s backed in our Sapphire Blue Quilters Blenders quilt backing with Hobbs Heirloom 8/20 batting inside to keep him warm and comfy!

Sun Bonnets Quilt

This charming quilt featuring Sunbonnet Sue with different bonnets and dresses was made by Pat Hammitt’s mother-in-law (Mike’s mom).  The different Sunbonnet Sue figures are appliquéd with different stitches.  She also hand embroidered the bonnets, sleeves and shoes. I quilted it in “Flights of Fancy.”  It is backed with Curls Swirls Sky Blue quilt backing and filled with Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 batting from our shop.

Pinkie Promise Quilt

This adorable little quilt was made for Jennifer Grantham’s granddaughter.  Jennifer made the top with lots of love and I appliquéd the hearts made from clothes that belonged to her MawMaw, Grandaddy and Aunt Jes on the back.  I quilted it in the Ribbon Hearts design then made the binding out of our pink quatrefoil material to match the top.

Christmas Tee Golf Throw

Patsy Willis made this charming Christmas golf throw as a gift for her son-in-law who loves golf.  The back is pieced together out of a matching golf print.  Filled with our famous Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 quilt batting it’s sure to be soft and warm but not too bulky.  I quilted it in the Hole in One design.

Family Tree Quilt

This unique family tree quilt was made by Sara Thompson as a gift for a family member.  She pieced both the top and the back using a combination of quilting and appliqué techniques.  The back features outlines of the children’ hands with their names.  I used our premium Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 batting and quilted it in the Pipeline design. A beautiful quit that is sure to be treasured for generations!
