My sister, Iris Tye Melvin made this spectacular Coca-Cola throw for her daughter-in-law, Beth Tye who loves Coca-Cola collectibles! The center of the throw is a gorgeous Coca-Cola panel she found surrounded gray blenders sashed with black to capture the look of the weathered siding on the old general store, then red (for Coke!) and finally piano keys made of different fabrics including two Coca-Cola prints. I quilted it in “Soda-n-Caps” for her. The perfect gift for a Coca-Cola girl!
I made this quilt featuring 3 ducks swimming on a pond in the center. The ducks were given to me and I thought they really needed to be swimming so I appliquéd them on a pond of our Light Blue Marblecious fabric. The pond is surrounded by squares of a green print for vegetation, brown for the earth (& cattails), a blue water print with white and yellow blenders to tie it all together. It is backed and bound with our Softie Lime Green 108” Quilt Backing and I quilted it in Cattails & Lily Pads with green thread. It made the perfect housewarming gift for my nephew and his wife who bought a lakeside home! 🙂
Betty George pieced this charming outdoorsy quilt featuring a print with canoes, bears, squirrels, fish and much more… Just the thing to snuggle up under on these cold winter nights! The traditional pattern is perfect for this quilt. Inside it is filled with our soft, not too light, not too heavy Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 batting. I quilted it in the “Autumn Leaves” design with gold thread and made the binding from the same material used for the back. Great job Betty!
Let’s start the new year off with color! Ann Owens made this beautiful Split Rail Fence quilt. It was a one she had started some time ago but put away to work on other things. She took it out, finished it and brought it to me to quilt. I love the colorful batiks! The split rail fence pattern always makes the most of complimenting colors. I quilted it in a loose meander with a dark royal blue thread. Very pretty Ann!
This is my Christmas Quilt this year. I pieced it with help from my sister Iris. It’s a John Deere Christmas Tree! The quilt features a small panel with Santa on his John Deere Tractor in the middle of the tree with squares that include The Grinch and Christmas Lights. Santa pulling his sleigh with a John Deere, Christmas village, star, stocking and candy canes are all appliqué. It is bordered with a holly print then backed and bound with the same Yellow Gold Quilters Blenders fabric used in the top to make the John Deere yellow. The batting is our famous Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 and I quilted it in Twinkling Snow Flakes. HoHoHo! Have a Merry Christmas everyone!
Brenda Jowers made this festive Christmas themed throw featuring a beautiful buck and doe surrounded by the colors of Christmas in various seasonal prints. It’s perfect for use as a lap quilt to stay warm on these chilly nights! It’s filled with our soft Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 batting and backed with flannel. I stipple quilted it for her. Very Merry and Cheerful Brenda! 🙂
This quilt was made for my grandson Tyler Helms and his bride, McKenzie as a wedding gift. My sister, Iris and I pieced the top, she embroidered their last name and the year. I quilted it and did the binding. I also monogrammed the “label” directly on the border fabric. The pattern is our very own signifying his holding her heart within his, surrounding and protecting her. I quilted it in “Twinkling Hearts” and the back is made from our 108” Navy Blue Quilters Blenders. We wish Tyler and Kenzie a lifetime of happiness together!
